What Causes Fan Shaped Nails

My nails are shaped dissimilar!

It'southward a bit strange, really. The nails on my pinky and ring finger grow in perfectly square, while my middle and pointer fingernails are naturally oval. My thumbnail grows in squoval-y. Information technology looks very ugly and unnatural (and ultimately they break) if I file them all into the same shape. I could mail a picture if information technology would help.

And then I'thousand looking for opinions. Is it strange to just leave my nails in their natural shapes? Does this happen to anyone else?

I always file my nails downwardly to the same shape but I believe it'due south my middle fingers that abound out in almost a fan shape, all my other nails abound in perfectly directly out from the blast bed but my middle finger only decides to fan out when it hits the air.

For me, I'm more than bothered by having inconsistently-shaped nails, but it'southward all up to yous!

My heart fingernail grows in a fan shape besides - drives me basics! Just my right hand though, so information technology'due south non TOO bad.

I've started filing all of mine into a squoval shape. I tried rounded, but fifty-fifty though I loved the shape, they only end up breaking too hands, and I'chiliad not a fan of completely flat (though apparently that's in this flavor).

Yay I'm not lonely! Actually, I was merely talking to my mom and information technology turns out my nails are just like hers. She mentioned that her female parent had different shaped nails too. I guess it's genetics!

I gauge I'll but get out them shaped how they want. It'll be unique :D

My nails grown in sqouvaly? I think... I file them to be rounded, because square nails badger me, because they intermission at the corners, causing me to rip off my entire nail..
